Cable Takes Me There: The Cable Show '09 | April 1-3 | Washington Convention Center | Washington DC

Turns Out We Attracted Quite A Crowd

No, you weren’t imagining things. Even in today’s challenging economic environment, The Cable Show '09 drew more than 12,000 attendees, surpassing our own projections and attracting more people than last year’s Show in New Orleans.

The big numbers are a credit to cable’s rising momentum as the platform for possibility in the new broadband era. Not to mention a program rich with ideas from visionary leaders, and a show floor that featured demonstrations of breakthrough technologies, multi-screen programming platforms and an immersive new technology showcase, Broadband Nation.

The Cable Show is roaring hot. Which is one more reason to be on the scene next year (May 11-13) in Los Angeles. If you don’t mind a crowd, that is.

The Cable Show '09 "End of Show Report" is now available. Read the report here.

Thanks to our volunteers, partners, sponsors and supporters, CableCares raised more than $155,000 in cash, equipment, books and in-kind donations to help improve Washington, DC schools and assist local charities. Take a look at some of the great work that was accomplished.

The Battle of the Bands Charity Fundraiser, the second annual installment of the high-volume cable industry talent showcase, was a rocking conclusion to The Cable Show ’09. With proceeds from the concert benefiting CableCares, the event was a great time for a great cause. Congratulations to Xpanded Bandwidth for retaining the title of “Cable’s Top Rocker”!
