As senior vice president of corporate engineering and technology for Cablevision Systems Corporation, James Blackley oversees the company's engineering and technology, Enterprise IT and e-media departments.
An 11-year company veteran, Mr. Blackley works closely with Cablevision's executive team on the continued evolution of the company’s strategic vision by assisting with critical objectives related to engineering and technology. This includes day-to-day management responsibilities that entail working with Cablevision's business units and operational departments to help them capitalize on key opportunities, and to design, develop and support current and future products and services through the effective use of advanced technologies.
Most recently, Mr. Blackley served as senior vice president of technology architecture for Cablevision and was responsible for the team that created and implemented technical hardware, software and development standards for all of Cablevision's business units, quickly reducing unnecessary technology development time and expenses.
Since joining Cablevision in 1996, Mr. Blackley has held a number of positions within Cablevision's IT organization with increasing responsibility, including: director of applications development; vice president of applications development; and vice president of enterprise infrastructure and architecture.
